Creativity, motivation, impact
With the fast paced progression of ICT in education, many schools
believe support staff would benefit greatly from courses aimed
specifically at their role. Be it using spreadsheets in the
main office or supporting groups of children with whiteboards,
directed time to get to grips with technology amongst peers has
proved to be an effective means for confidence building.
Essential skills packages focus
on developing support staff skills in Microsoft Office, use of
interactive whiteboards and curriculum support and is available as a
‘one off’ ½ day training course, focusing on one program or a series
of courses to address all areas. All staff complete an online skills audit prior to training
to ensure the support is targeted at need and the course is
differentiated to ensure all staff progress at their own level.
Course content offered include covering:
The packages are aimed at all support staff; office based or classroom based and are ideal for clusters and consortiums of schools where cost can be shared. A school would be required to be the host school.
Completion of a post course task, which can be classroom or work related, results in a certificate and has great impact when the support staff are given directed time as a peer group to complete.
Single courses are offered for a half day including certificates. Please contact us for pricing, including special pricing for packages of support (i.e. several courses to one group of delegates)
